HARMONY IN THE FAMILY
Vicky IrigarayIn today's second reading, Paul reminds us of the call to live in harmony and fraternity. We celebrate this feast in honour of the Family of Jesus and we call to mind our families with all their needs.
Father, grant us peace in our families.
• For the Church, the great family of the followers of Jesus, so that we may be capable of welcoming, forgiving and helping others without questioning.
Father, grant us peace in our families.
• For each one of our families, so that we may live together in harmony, overcoming difficultires by dialogue and willingness.
Father, grant us peace in our families.
• For our parents, so that recognising with thanks all that we have received from them, we may dedicate ourselves to looking after and attending them.
Father, grant us peace in our families.
• For all the sick members of our family, community and parish, may they find in us the care, consolation and affectiion that they need.
Father, grant us peace in our families.
• For all of us joined together to celebrate our faith, may we be signs of reconciliation, unity and fraternity in our daily lives.
Father, grant us peace in our families.
In this feast of the Holy Family, we have remembered and we place on the table of the altar our families, with the confidence that you, good Father, care for us and protect us. We give you thanks.
